Police K-9 Detection Dog Course

The 4-Day Police K9 Detection Dog Class by Cameron Ford is designed to elevate law enforcement detection teams from training-level performance to true operational readiness. This course focuses on bridging the gap between the current training program and real deployments by evaluating each team’s current capabilities, any potential limitations, and any SOPs, then tailoring the training plan specifically to meet their real-world deployment needs and legal scrutiny.

Through four intensive days of scenario-based learning, handlers and dogs work through practical detection problems, operational and or tactical deployments, and sound decision-making exercises that replicate the pressures of actual k9 deployment. The result is a more confident, efficient, and effective detection team one that understands not only how to find odor, but why precision, independence, and handler clarity matter in every deployment.  This is all accomplished by showing the students how to set up more realistic training, how better evaluate performance from each training evolution and how to employ any corrective action if it is needed.

This class is designed to make you and your unit better and to do so without any major changes to what you do... My main objective is to work with you and show you simple adjustments that maximize outcomes with better accuracy and efficiency of your detection dog teams.

Teams will get a certificate upon completion of class.
