Where can I stay?


Our facility has a limited number of rooms available for students, booked on a first come first serve basis. These rooms are available to non smoking students only. If you are interested in booking a room at our facility, please email info@fordk9.com. A good option for hotels is Towne Place Suites, they are about a 12 minute drive from our facility and allow dogs. Here is a link to their website: Link La Quinta hotels allow dogs as well as some Air BnB locations. When traveling with a dog the best bet is to use our address below to search hotels that allow dogs near our address. We are located in the SOUTH/EAST part of Henderson and Las Vegas Area, our address is 1022 Swingline St. Henderson NV 89002.




What are the typical class hours?


9:30 am to 5:00 pm.




What should I wear?


Comfortable clothes for working dogs and that matches climate conditions.




Do I need to bring any special gear?


All necessary gear is provided by Ford K-9 (students will be given course material via thumb drive or Google Drive link). You are encouraged to bring your computers or tablets. If you are bringing your dog, be prepared to have appropriate gear for your dog to stay in your car while we are training on location. Having a car that you can leave running, or having fans is highly reccomended in the summer months.




What should I plan to do for meals?


You are responsible for all of your own meals, students are given 1.5 hours for lunch each day. We have a refrigerator available for students to store their lunches as well as coffee, water and soft drinks.




What if I need vet services during my time in Las Vegas?


We have a relationship with Sahara Pines Animal Hospital, and would encourage using them for all of your needs.




Do I need to pay for my event at the time of registration?


Yes, payments for events need to be paid at the time of registration.




Can I bring my dog?


Yes! You are welcome to bring your dog; we have a few crates available to house the dogs when not working, but if possible you should bring your own crate. This will ensure enough space for everyone. If you are bringing your dog, be prepared to have appropriate gear for your dog to stay in your car while we are training on location. Having a car that you can leave running, or having fans is highly reccomended in the summer months.
